Drove from Abergavenny (south east Wales) to Abergynolwyn (mid north west Wales) today through some stunning scenery. I understand that the prefix "Aber" in Welsh means "mouth of river", so there are a lot of villages that start with Aber ... something.
Again, wish there was a way of having a motion-stabilised camera mounted on the dash and a button on the steering wheel to take photos as I drive along.
This is where I am now - Abergynolwyn.
Soooooooooo, hellllooooooooooooooooooooooooo, anyone, anyone, anyone ... sorry about about the lonely echo. Not sure how much bother I should go to and write more as my stats and lack of feedback are showing that I am only writing for myself ... and yes, I know who is (and who isn't) popping in to my blog to have a look. You can run but you can't hide ...
Sigh ...
anyone?
"Same as it ever was... Same as it ever was... Same as it ever was... Same as it ever was... And you may ask yourself, What is that beautiful house? And you may ask yourself, Where does that highway go to? And you may ask yourself, Am I right?...Am I wrong? And you may say to yourself, My God!...What have I done?" Excerpt from Talking Heads Once in a lifetime

ReplyDeleteAh, my cunning plan worked! There are people out there.
ReplyDeleteHey there, Penny, I had to wait for the dust to settle before I could read your comment. Although with the luscious green rolling hills, it is more like turf, rather than dust, I am disturbing.
so... I had better join in the chorus!! and thanks so much for the link to video. weird, I was just humming that during the week and couldn't remember where I was taking a trip to - have changed it so many times to suit myself. so... sounds like you are revelling in your favourite part of the world. and the canal..... no more words! it is beautiful - could be on a itinerary for a great bike ride someday.....
ReplyDeletebut never fear we are bopping into your blog! it brightens an otherwise boring week of work work. its starting to warm up here so am finding it easier to get out of bed sometimes!

Jeez, don't know what's wrong with keyboard but keep sending half messages into the ether. Trying again...
ReplyDeleteIf you were back here it would be dust on the migration plains, that's for sure. Dry as a chip and cool for months. The boys saw big turtle, 2 dolphins and sailed along next to a whale yesterday. Sea is sparkling blue. Something for you to look forward to. Now - we are looking forward to more posts! Get on with it!
